The Langley Park-McCormick Community Technology Center establishes a technology rich computer learning space that serves all ages. Our doors are open to students who need access to the internet and software that will boost their achievement in mathematics, reading and writing. The center also welcomes adult community members to come in and benefit from free internet access as well as software that is geared toward adult learners. The Center offers to those adult community members who are determined to take and pass the Maryland GED (General Educational Development) test, software that will assist them with preparation to sit for the test. Self-paced learning of standard word processing and spreadsheet, preparation for the U.S. Citizenship tests, and software that can help area residents build reading and English skills. Resume writing, the use of online job opportunity databases, and career search information are all readily available via the internet. Training adults in fundamental computer assembly, performing diagnostics, making repairs, and upgrading computer equipment, services is a vital component of the center.
