The Potomac High School Math and Science Academy was founded in 2003 by Linda Gooden, Executive Vice President of Information Systems & Global Services (IS&GS).
The academy was developed due to a strong desire to support the community and education. The academy will enhance programs for students that will strengthen their growth and develop their technical talents.
The academy's mission is to support communities and educational institutions and to enhance programs for students that are interested in the technology fields.
The academy represents an important step toward helping Potomac High School meet its commitment to prepare all students for the change-dominated, technology-driven economy of the 21st Century.
