The students, staff, and parents of Tulip Grove Elementary really care about others! On March 29^, 2011 at 8:30 am, the students will attend a “kick-off” assembly for Math-a-thon benefiting St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Every year during the month of April (April is Math Month), the students of Tulip Grove collect pledges for each problem or page they complete in their Math Fun Booklet or on the Math-a-thon CD-ROM. “Doing Math to make a difference in a sick child’s life is really fun and makes me feel good!” says a former participant.

It must be; as Tulip Grove Elementary has raised over $30,000 dollars for St. Jude in the past 12 years! “That is something we are really proud of!” said Marylouise Lopez, coordinator of the project at Tulip Grove.

If you would like to make a pledge for a single child, family, class, or the entire school, Please contact Mrs. Lopez at mlopez@pgcps.org.
