I greet you in the spirit of excellence

As the beginning of summer quickly approaches, it is not too early to prepare our young people for their return to the schoolhouse and for another triumphant school year! For our seventh grade parents and students, this will begin a new chapter. Although Middle School will bring its own challenges, we know that with every student, educator and family member committed to excellence in education and character our young people will flourish.

At Walker Mill Middle School, we believe that all students are uniquely talented, gifted and capable of exceptional academic performance.  To ensure this, we have assembled a team that is dedicated to conducting quality instruction in an environment that will create wonderful opportunities for students to learn. Although we are one of the highest performing Middle School’s in Prince George’s County, we understand that developing successful young people goes beyond increasing test scores.

We focus on arming our students with the PRIDE to face whatever challenges that they may face.  At Walker Mill, our Panther’s exhibit PRIDE by being Prepared, Respectful, Intelligent, Dependable and Excellent in all of their endeavors. We will continue to offer our students the support and guidance necessary so that they may successfully make the transition from adolescence to young adulthood, and are focused on ensuring that they are prepared to be leaders in the 21st century.
